Carol Ladewig received a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and her MFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts, where she also received a 1991 Graduate Barclay Simpson Award and Exhibition. Her work has been exhibited by the Triton Museum, Marin MOCA, Lucy Berman Gallery in Palo Alto, Kala Art Center, Berkeley Art Center, Museum of Los Gatos, Slate contemporary, Oakland, Ute Stebich Gallery in Lenox MA, among many others. In 2001, she cofounded the Oakland Art Gallery in downtown Oakland and was the curator and in 2004 became the Executive Director/Curator through 2007. In 2013, Ladewig was named an artist-in-residence at the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, CA. Ladewig’s work is held in both public and private collections across the United States and Europe including the Stanford Children’s Hospital, the Packard Foundation, SAPAmerica, and Alameda County Art Collections. She was an instructor in the Art Department at Diablo Valley College, from 2001 to 2018. Currently is the Gallery Director at Los Medanos College, Pittsburg, CA
